Bent TV Studio Photographs 2011

These #photographs are behind the scenes images of the Bent TV Studio in 2011.

For those who don't know Bent TV was the production company behind Alphabet Soup a LGBTQ Community Show on Channel 31 Community TV in Melbourne.

Because we're all about the archives, we've included the raw unfiltered images that normally would not see the light of day but we're sure the "busy" little archivists will be downloading them for their collections too.

For those wondering why there is no LGBTQ Community TV in Perth, a diverse group of folks spent a huge amount of time filming Community Events & Conducting Interviews etc for a submission to WTV, or whatever it is called. After they had wasted vast amounts of time consulting with the the Tax Payer funded Organisers, they were told that LGBTQ was not considered Community and the charge would be $10,000, so that was the end of that.

Perth's cultural drought for grassroots community continues and even the WA AIDS Council refuses to allow local HIV+ Voices to be shown on the big screen on World AIDS Day Events. One year #WAAC prioritised showing a video that included graphic and disturbing Domestic Violence over Western Australian HIV+ People's documentary designed to reduce HIV Stigma.

This all suggests in WA, "Control not Community", is The Agenda and it is no wonder that the so called large organisations such as #NAPWHA & #WAAC can't get bums on seats at their small "cocktail party style" gravy train events.

The Galleries, Above, contains the curated camera proofs for narrative context and your viewing pleasure.
