These are #photographs of Byron Bay & Nimbin in NSW captured in September 2003.

Below is a curated set of camera proofs that include images of the Gay Beach and the hinterland. Please note, The faces of the folks have been smudged out and the people who do have their faces showing gave permission for their photograph to be taken.

We've included the unvarnished camera proofs of the country side because there is beauty in the wildness along with snapshots of some very pretty cows!

For travellers heading to Byron Bay from Sydney, catch the inland train to Lismore where you can hire a car to drive to Nimbin and Byron Bay.

There are plenty of very good cafes in Nimbin so you can drive there from Lismore in the morning, have lunch in Nimbin and then arrive in Byron Bay for the sunset at the lighthouse, which is a sight that shouldn't be missed.

You can stay in hotels and Hostels but there are also some very good B&Bs where you can stay in local homes which is good for finding out about what to do and see in the area.

Folks really do need a car to get around in the Byron Bay region as the public transport options did not seem to be that great and there are great local markets in the towns of the hinterland that are well worth visiting.

James recommends driving back to Sydney via the Coast Road with stops along the way so you enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery.

To see more Landscape Photographs of the Byron Bay and Nimbin go to CADT Photography here where you can arrange to purchase a Print Sized Image.
