These #photographs from from the Equal Love Rally held during the Perth Pride Festival in 2014.
This was a grassroots event that really was driven by non-aligned young people who wanted to see law reform and so they turned up month after month to show their support.
Sadly in the end, the Equal Love Campaign got hijacked by big parties and celebrities who saw an opportunity to hog the limelight but it was these grassroots people who really were the people who deserve the credit for getting the job done.
