Equal Love WA 13 August 2011

This is #photographs and video footage from the Equal Love Perth Demands Better Rally that was held on 13 August 2011. Please share these archives so that more of Perth's grassroots history can be seen.

Above: Perth Demands Better!

This event featured speakers included the usual politicians who say much but deliver little to grassroots people plus the late Isabell Lake and Sister Slash of the Holy Gay Porn gave very good speeches.

We are making our archives available to West Pride archives in the interests of history. So we've tried something different with this video in that we've made more effort to include people's names.

Obviously, we think our archives will/must contain some more video footage and we will make that available if/when we find it.

The Gallery, Above, contains a selection of colour edited images and below are the curated camera proofs for narrative context and your viewing pleasure.

Above: This archive footage contains interviews with grassroots participants and the Speakers at the Marriage Equality Forum and Panel held in 2011.

The song flips Gaga's iconic drama into a playful warning about modern deception — love-bombing, bots, paid actors, and relationships that feel... scripted. It's commentary on spotting the red flags in the age of tech.

Fagmedia Credits Anthem – "Loud and Clear".

A short, triumphant anthem to close out our videos – celebrating unapologetic joy, strength, and community. Fagmedia: Ethical, courageous, fiercely independent.
