These #photographs are from the Sydney LGBTQ Mardi Gras Shop til you Drop in 2004.
This was basically a bunch of drag queens and AIDS Organisations running around with buckets soliciting money from shoppers in the midst of blaring disco music and assorted entertainments.
It was lovely and lots of fun was had by all the lovely people!
We're not sure how lucrative it was for the shopping strip or if any of the money collected by the AIDS Organisations actually ended up helping the HIV+ people in whose names the money was collected but certainly the front bars of the lovely Colombian Hotel and the Midnight Shift were pumping!
